Privacy Policy

Effective: August 2026

About This Policy

This policy explains what personal data The Dough Project collects through thedough.am, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website and any order placed through it. We decide how your data is used, and you can reach us any time at thedough.am@gmail.com or +374 95 64 9394.

What We Collect

  • Order details: your name, phone number, delivery address and city, an email address if you choose to give one, and any comment you add to the order.
  • Order contents: the products, quantities and prices you bought, and any promo code you used.
  • Messages: if you write through the contact form, your name, email address and the text of your message.
  • Technical data recorded automatically by our hosting provider, such as your IP address and browser type, in server logs.
  • We never ask for your date of birth, gender, or any sensitive personal data.

How We Use It

  • To prepare, confirm and deliver your order — we call every customer by phone before dispatch.
  • To send an order confirmation, if you gave us an email address.
  • To answer messages you send us.
  • To keep records of completed sales, as accounting and tax rules require.
  • To see how visitors use the site and to show ads for our products elsewhere, using Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — see Cookies below.
  • Outside of that, we do not use your data for profiling, we make no automated decisions about you, and we never sell it to anyone.

Card Payments

Card payments are handled by AmeriaBank's vPOS system. When you choose to pay by card, you are taken to the bank's own secure page to enter your card details. Your card number, expiry date and CVC are typed on the bank's page — not ours. They never reach this website or our servers, and we never store them. All we receive back is the bank's confirmation of whether the payment went through, and a reference number for it.

Cookies and Browser Storage

  • A cookie that remembers which language version of the site you are reading.
  • Your shopping cart, kept in your browser's local storage — it stays on your device and only reaches us when you place an order.
  • A sign-in cookie for the shop's own staff in the admin area. It is never set for visitors.
  • Google Analytics, which sets cookies so we can see how many people visit the site and which pages they look at.
  • The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets a cookie so we can show ads for our products to past visitors on Facebook and Instagram, and measure whether those ads worked.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with its browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage the ads Meta shows you at facebook.com/adpreferences. Blocking cookies in your browser stops both.

Who We Share It With

  • AmeriaBank, to take card payments.
  • Our courier, who gets the name, phone number and address needed to deliver your parcel.
  • Fly.io and Neon, who host the website and its database.
  • Google, for two things: Gmail sends our order and contact emails, and Google Analytics tracks how visitors use the site (see Cookies above).
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram), through the Meta Pixel described above.
  • State authorities, where the law requires it.
  • Each of them receives only what it needs to do its job. The exception is Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel: those two also use what they collect under their own privacy policies, including for their own advertising systems — that is what makes the retargeting ads possible.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order records for one year from the date of the order and then delete them, unless accounting or tax law requires a particular document to be kept longer. Contact form messages are deleted once we have dealt with them and a reasonable period has passed. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally obliged to keep.

Your Rights

  • Ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete data we have no legal reason to keep.
  • Object to how we use your data, or withdraw consent you have given.
  • Write to thedough.am@gmail.com and we will answer. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

Children

Our dough is made for children, but this shop is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and orders should be placed by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.

Keeping Your Data Safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to order data is limited to the people running the shop and protected by a password. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our measures regularly.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will make significant changes clear on the site.
